Short Story Summary Journals
Borger

Prompt:  Keep a summary journal of the short stories you read in class.

Discussion of the prompt:  After you read each short story, write a paragraph summary.  Follow the format of descriptive and informative summaries from nonfiction: title by author is about X, Y, Z.  Include main plot points, characters, climax and resolution.  Write in "broad strokes," that is, keep it relatively general.  We don't need every detail of every story.  Remember, summaries are in your own words; no quotes needed.
